John Toomasian
Career has been focused on the study of extracorporeal life support and applied physiology and clinical implementation for over 40 years. Have been a participant and researcher at the Robert H. Bartlett Extracorporeal Circulation Laboratory since 1975. Researched and published research findings related to extracorporeal life support, primarily focused on devices and techniques. Past participant in several ELSO and ECLS programmes. Past President of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Have attended and participated in several ELSO and EuroELSO Congresses. Member of ELSO since charter meeting in 1989. Authored Chapters on DEvices and ECMO equipment in the ELSO Redbook. Current Chair of the ELSO Technology Committee. Inaugural Fellowship of ELSO awarded in 2015.
