Hynek Riha

Hynek RIHA, MD, PhD, MHA

After completing his studies in 1997 at 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, he worked in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Motol University Hospital. Since 2000, he has worked in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine of IKEM’s Cardiovascular Center in Prague, where he is now deputy head. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. in the field of human physiology and pathophysiology, and in 2016, he received an MHA degree in healthcare management.

Dr. Riha’s major areas of expertise include mechanical circulatory support, pharmacologic support of the cardiovascular system and heart transplantation. He is Assistant Professor at the 1st Faculty of Medicine and an examiner for European board certification examinations in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine.
