Bishoy Zakhary

Bishoy Zakhary currently serves as NA ELSO Chair of Logistics & Education where he oversees the development of a universal ECMO curriculum, expansion of ECMO courses and workshops, development of an international ECMO certification process, and online ECMO education modules.  Bishoy is a medical intensivist who recently moved to Portland OR to join the faculty at OHSU where he is helping develop the relatively young ECMO program and establish a land and air-based Mobile ECMO program.  Research interests include respiratory failure, ARDS, ECMO, and medical education.
