Antonio Filippo Arcadipane,Profof Medicine, Chief of Anesthesia Department. ISMETT UPMC-Personal statment: I retired from Germany after residency. Before joining ISMETT’s team, for three years I worked in Palermo at Villa Maria Eleonora’s Hospital as a cardiothoracic consultant.
At ISMETT I contributed to the development of the entire program in liver transplantation, abdominal surgery and thoracic surgery. I focused my activity mainly to cardiac surgery and to solid organ transplants with a particular dedication to extra corporeal support, ECMO. My fundamental role has been involved in the structural organization and in the electro medical systems of all the critical areas of our hospital. The realization of the Hybrid Room was one of my goals such as the increase of beds in intensive care unit.
