Anne-Marie Guerguerian
Anne-Marie Guerguerian MD PhD is a Clinician Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children. As a Clinician, she is a full-time staff paediatric intensive care physician in the Department of Critical Care Medicine and is the Medical Director of Extracorporeal Life Support Program. As a Senior Scientist in the Research Institute, her program of research is focused on developing methods to quantify brain injury during critical illness and on undertaking trials to tests the means to minimize brain injury. Her research is funded by operating grants of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. At the University of Toronto, she is appointed to the Department of Paediatrics, to the Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care, to the School of Graduate Studies in the Institute of Medical Sciences, the Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering, and the Institute of Health Policy and Management. As a volunteer, she serves as a member of the pediatric research resuscitation task forces of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation, and as the vice-chair of the Get With The Guidelines’ American Heart Association.
